The story, originally broke by Axios, involves Fang Fang (aka Christine Fang) and her activities from 2011 and 2015. During that time, she gained influence through raising campaign funds, networking, romance, and sexual relationships. Through her effort, she was able to gain access to top officials in the intelligence communities and an elected official. Her primary target was Representative Eric Swalwell (D-California).

Fang became heavily involved with Swalwell during his 4 reelection efforts. However, the investigation into her activities shows that she did not provide illegal contributions to the campaign. Additionally, Fang helped place 1-2 interns within Swalwell’s office.

The details are unclear as to exactly who was involved. But, we have gathered that Fang had been photographed with several CA politicians and had sexual relations with at least two Midwestern mayors.

The FBI had informed Swalwell of an investigation into Fang’s activities. It is said that Swalwell “immediately cut ties to her and is not accused of any wrongdoing in connection with her alleged activities.”
