Reports are coming out that Defense Secretary Chris Miller has put an end to facilitating the transition of a Biden Administration. This halt has been ordered across the Defense Department.
As reported first by Axios, the official response from the Defense Department has been to “downplay” the developments, calling it, “a simple delay of the last few scheduled meetings until after the new year.”
The directive, which orders officials to cancel any and all meetings related to the Biden transition, is sending shockwaves throughout Washington DC.
According to Axios, Biden officials were unaware of the sudden changes. However, cooperation with the Biden team is said to resume after the holidays.
What specifically sparked the sudden change are unknown.
These changes come a day after the Director of National Intelligence confirmed there was foreign interference in the 2020 election, specifically pointing to China, Russia and Iran.
