President Trump is expected to make an appearance in Valdosta, Georgia today to show his support for Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue for US Senate. Trump’s presence shows how seriously Republicans (and the Trump campaign) are taking these two races. In what has been called the most important congressional election in a lifetime, the two seats up for grabs will likely determine the limits on a potential Biden/Harris administration.
The election comes after Perdue and Loeffler came up short in getting a majority of the vote, which triggered a runoff election to be decided on Jan 5th. The focus on these two seats has been centered upon Republicans maintaining a majority in the Senate. With rumors swirling about Republicans refusing to vote in the runoff, GOP party leaders are making every effort to encourage all Republicans and Conservatives to get out in vote.
To stress this point, Vice President Pence appeared at a rally in Georgia on Friday saying, “We will never stop fighting to make America great again. That’s why President Trump and I need David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler back in the Republican majority in the United States Senate.”
