According to Los Angeles County District Attorney, voter fraud charges have been made against two men in Southern California, where they allegedly submitted more than 8,000 registration applications. The 21-count criminal complaint was filed against Carlos Antonio De Bourbon Montenegro and Marcos Raul Arevalo.

The DA asserts Montenegro allegedly submitted more than 8,000 fraudulent voter registration applications between July and October 2020.” The DA went on to say Montenegro, “…is accused of falsifying names, addresses, and signatures…”

These allegations come after the Department of Homeland Security cyber-security division described the 2020 election as the “most secure” in American history.

Both men are charged with:

  • One count of conspiracy to commit voter fraud
  • Eight counts of voter fraud
  • Four counts of procuring and offering a false or forged instrument
  • Four misdemeanor counts of interference with a prompt transfer of a completed affidavit

Montenegro faces additional charges including:

  • 10 counts of voter fraud
  • Seven counts of procuring and offering a false or forged instrument
  • Two counts of perjury
  • Five misdemeanor counts of intereference with a prompt transfer of a completed affidavit

At this time, it is not clear if these men’s actions impacted the Presidential Election.
