With little over a week ’till his last day in office, President Trump is facing two Congressional steps toward impeaching him and removing him from power.
House members are using the events of January 6th as reasons for such moves.
The first step will be to vote on invoking the 25th Amendment, which removes power from the President.
Since Vice President Pence is not expected to join in invoking the 25th Amendment, the House will begin moving forward with their second step: impeachment proceedings. It is expected that the House will begin impeachment proceedings tomorrow.
