Michigan State House Representative Cynthia Johnson made headlines when she confronted a witness during last week’s hearing in Michigan. That same representative, for different reasons, is now stripped of her committees and is possibly facing an investigation and disciplinary actions.
On Wednesday, a video began circulating on social media showing Representative Cynthia Johnson speaking directly into the camera, in what appears to be a deliberate attempt to intimidate Trump supporters and calling on her “soldiers” to enact some sort of revenge on those who support the President.
Note: The video below contains the subtitle “a message from a domestic terrorist.” We do not approve of this accusation and do not classify the representative as a terrorist in any way. We are posting this on this page for reference only, as the original video appears to have been removed.
Cynthia A. Johnson of the Michigan House of Representatives has a message to you.

She appears to be calling on her “soldiers” to make you pay.

In a later Tweet, Michigan House Speaker Lee Chatfield announced today, in a formal statement, that Johnson had been stripped of her committees and faces possible disciplinary action. The House Speaker went on to specify his reasons for doing so saying, “Threats to either Democrats or Republicans are unacceptable and un-American. They’re even more unbecoming of an elected official. Rep. Johnson has been removed from her committee assignments, and we are looking into further disciplinary action as the proper authorities conduct their own investigations.”

He ended the statement saying, “Behavior like this will not be tolerated this term or next.”
