Today, President Trump approved an executive order that ensures “Americans have priority access to free, safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines.” The order mandates American entities put Americans first in line to receive the vaccine, before they are sent to lands outside of the US.
FDA approval for Pfizer’s vaccine is predicted to come as early as this week. This comes after news of Pfizer meeting UK requirements and beginning to provide vaccines within the kingdom.
Trump spoke of the vaccine’s expected availability as “a monumental national achievement.”
