Days after his recent pardon granted by President Trump, Roger Stone has announced that he plans to file a lawsuit against the United States’ Department of Justice. He also claimed that his lawyers are going to file complaints against DOJ officials for prosecutorial misconduct.
“The terms of my pardon allow me to sue the Department of Justice, Robert Mueller, James Comey, John Brennan, Rod Rosenstein, Jonathan Kravis, Aaron ‘fata** Zelinsky, Jeannie Rhee, and Micheal Morando,” Stone wrote to his parler account. Stone further explained that he plans to file the $25 million lawsuit and add Bill Barr to the list of names and would like to “handle his cross-examination personally.”
Roger Stone was arrested as a result of Robert Mueller’s since disproven Russia investigation. The probe was meant to look into the possibility of collusion between Russia and President Trump, eventually leading to the case being dropped due to lack of evidence.
The Russia investigation is currently being investigated by Special Counsel John Durham because of alleged evidence that FBI and DOJ officials may have committed crimes in their original investigation. One official has currently been indicted though many have speculated that there are many more coming.
President Trump has pardoned many of his former associates in the last few days including Paul Manafort, Charles Kushner, George Papadopoulos, and Alex van der Zwann. Pushing his number of sentences pardoned or commuted to 49.
“I have an enormous debt of gratitude to God almighty for giving the president the strength and the courage to recognize that my prosecution was a completely politically motivated witch hunt and my trial was a Soviet-style show trial” – Roger Stone
