The legal challenges surrounding the 2020 election continue with the Arizona state Senate announcing two subpoenas to audit Dominion voting machines, ballots, and software. The announcement was made on Monday in a statement by State Senate President Karen Fann (R). The audit will be targeting Arizona’s Maricopa County.
The subpoenas were served to the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday and requested that the materials be delivered to the Senate by 5 p.m. on December 18th. If the audit implies that election results were tampered with, members of Congress may decide to dispute Arizona’s electoral votes.
This decision by Senate President Karen Fann was made following an election integrity hearing held on November 30th. During this hearing, President Trump’s legal team presented voter irregularities as well as testimony from Maricopa County GOP chairwoman Linda Brickman. Brickman alleged that she had personally observed Dominion Voting machines switching votes for President Trump to votes for former Vice President Joe Biden.
Dominion’s CEO John Poulos was questioned by Michigan lawmakers on Tuesday after an Antrim County audit concluded that the software was “intentionally and purposefully designed with inherent errors to create systemic fraud and influence election results.” This was the first time he appeared before legislators of any state since the election on November 3rd.
Dominion had denied the original findings and Poulos told Michigan state lawmakers that the irregularities were “isolated human errors not involving Dominion.”
