In what Trump called “the most important speech [he’s] ever made,” he reconfirmed his resolve to “protect our election system, which is now under coordinated assault and siege.”

The President went on to recount events leading up to the election, pointing out how the media and experts said it could take weeks “if not months” to declare a winner in the 2020 Presidential election. The reason for the expected delay was the assumption that it would take an extended period of time to verify and count the absentee and mail-in ballots that were predicted to arrive.

The recounting of events led the President to also remind Americans how Joe Biden’s lack-luster campaign didn’t require Joe to actually travel (or do any campaigning at all). The President asserted that the reason why Joe didn’t campaign is that “they were acting like they already knew what the outcome was going to be. They had it covered, and perhaps they did. Very sadly for our country. It was all very, very strange.” Trump said. “Within days after the election, we witnessed an orchestrated effort to anoint a winner, even while many key states were still being counted.”

“Trump concluded his statement by reassuring Americans of his intention to, “defend the honesty of the vote, by ensuring every legal ballot is counted and that no illegal ballot is counted.” Trump ended his statementsaying the purpose of his effort to fight election fraud isn’t about proving he won. No, it’s much more important than that. It is, “about ensuring Americans can have faith in this election, and all future elections.”
